Product Description
The Denon ASD-3N iPod/network client device now allows an iPod to be connected to a home network system via Ethernet connection. MP3 and non-protected AAC Audio files from an iPod can then be streamed for listening over your home network. Additionally, viewing video pictures with video compatible iPods is also possible. The ASD-3N is DNLA certified and is PlaysForSure compliant for ease of setup and use. The standard D-dock port is also supplied for current model receiver integration and is compatible with previous receiver models that have the Denon D-dock port for command and control. The iPod will also stay charged while docked in the ASD-3N keeping it ready to go. A remote is also supplied with the ASD-3N for use with non-Denon systems.

control dock for ipod and more

the denon control dock for my ipod exceeds my expectations. it was the only dock that i found with a GUI so i could manage all my pictures and music on my 160 GB ipod through my tv. another great feature of the dock is having an ehternet port allowing access to over 7000 internet radio stations. the remote control is small and has all the functions i could ever want. in my opinion this control dock is one heck of a buy!

Excellent Product, if you use a different Remote

I almost returned this until I discovered all the issues I was having with the device were created by the remote.I recently purchased a LogicTech 'HarmonyOne' (highest recommendation on this remote - it does what others have claimed to do for years and actually works) when I added the ASD-3N to the HarmonyOne it works flawlessly, I pick back up the Denon Remote and get the same crappy results.So, very happy with the Dock especially the Internet Radio, as other have said this feature alone makes it worth adding to a Home Theater set-up, but get the HarmonyOne and toss the Denon Remote back in the box.

The Denon ASD-3N iPod/Network Connectivity Client Dock is a great addition to any AV system. I have the Denon 3808CI but it will work with any AV receiver.The user interface (menus) are easy to understand and the remote allows both on-screen operation from the mini remote or the ability to drive the unit from the iPod directly; the latter is my preferred method of operation.The Internet connection provides the ability to update the firmware, play from your local PC as a server and to play Internet streaming Audio.All in all this is a fantastic unit when Internet connectivity is no problem. If a hard wire network cable is not available Denon has a wireless version that can connect to your wireless home router.
