Not Condor, not for real guns
By Robert Gay
So, to correct something that another reviewer said, you will NOT be getting a Condor tactical crossdraw vest. This vest is made by Rothco. It also differs slightly from the picture - there is no solid "coyote" colored panel, and there is no radio pouch on the left shoulder. There are two shooting pads (one per shoulder) with a nice heavy load-supporting wire under each side. There is also one top-of-shoulder pouch per side (not one total). The vest distributes weight very well - even with three loaded mags of .223 and a pistol + extra mag (and some other lighter gear), the vest moved and felt fine. The customization options are not really there (except on the back), but for me at the moment that is not the biggest concern. There are two items that make me think this is not a "serious" vest and is instead tailored for the paintball/airsoft crowd. One is the pistol holster. Others have commented - I have to as well. With an all-metal pistol loaded w/9mm and a spare mag on top, the holster droops forward, even with cinching up and readjusting the back straps. This holster was obviously not designed for real guns but for lighter, plastic and composite airsoft guns. When I have my rifle slung, the pistol dangles forward and bangs against the rifle. Not good for going on patrol or keeping my guns' finishes looking good. I can rig up a fix, but the point is that I shouldn't have to. Their attachment points on the holster suck. The second big thing that indicates that this is not a "professional" grade product at a paintball price is the IR signature. I have an IR viewer with IR illumination built-in, so I got it out one dark evening and decided to see what I could see on my ACU gear. Imagine my surprise when I looked through the eyepiece and saw white. Yes, white. The camo pattern does not show up under IR illumination. That's kind of a big deal (those that say they bought this for their military unit should consider this). If someone is using an IR scope, you might as well be wearing a white vest when you're out in the field with this. The straps are dark, but the vest material itself is totally IR reflective. I found this same thing to be true for another Rothco product I purchased on Amazon (a pack) but not for a Rothco shirt I bought elsewhere. I'm not sure if it is because of the material or what, but I will not be buying another Rothco item without testing it personally under IR first.Am I disappointed? A little. But for the price, it would be hard to get a true professional grade vest. For what it is, I will keep using it but recognize its limitations.

ACU Tactical Vest.
By Alvaro Pajon
Having owned a black Firepower tactical vest once ( I sold it to a friend to build a complete ACU outfit).I can tell you that this vest is of greater quality and very well made. The actual vest you will be getting is the Condor Crossdraw Tactical Vest: [...]The only problem is the pistol hanging a little forward BUT this can be played with and with a little clip I was able to fix it completely.I absolutely recommend this for any airsofter or anyone who would like to have a high quality vest!

tactical crossdraw vest w/ pistol belt-- ACU
By Carlos Antonio Ortega Jr.
the material the vest is made of is very great, light weight and flexible for anybodys size ajustment. the cargo pockets are well put together and can hold up to two standerd pistol clips for each pocket wich is an advantage, the larger cargo pockets can also hold up to two standerd M-4 clips and can even hold three SMG clips depending on the SMG. the vest also contains a holdster for a pistol(examples: colt-1911, or a glock 88 with in those sizes fit) the holdster also contains an extra clip pocket for the pistol being used. on the back the are the lines for extra cargo equiptment or pockets. the vest also come with a belt holding an extra two clips pockets for pistols the belt is also a clip on belt for faster and easier usage its also ajustable to any size. the vest also contains three pocket inside the left and right sides are ziper pocket while the turso or midle pocket is larger and is straped. there were no down fall in using this vest, highly recommended.
