4I was Skeptical but I am glad that I made this choice...
By Machismo
So, I had the Yamaha version of these. I paid about $100 for the Yamaha's 6 years ago and they were great. I never took them down and they were in full sun without an eve to protect them from the elements year 'round. I could not ask for more when it came to sound and performance. Now, I left them with the house when we sold it and I bought these. I found a gift card so these Insignia's cost me $0.24 to walk out of the store. I hooked them up to a 100 watt amp and was pleasantly surprised. They have great sound at low and high volume and project nicely in the back yard. I have not heard any distortion with a wide variety of music and even at low volume; they fill the patio very well. I have not had them long enough to give them 5 stars as the longevity has not been tested. I do have these under the eve's and will not treat them so carelessly as I did the Yamaha's but for the price, I could not justify spending twice as much for an outdoor speaker right now. They are about an inch larger all the way around than the Yamaha's so if you are looking for a tight space for drivers, these are probably not the ones for you. The mounting hardware is included and installation is a snap. In the future, I plan on pairing these with some rock speakers in the beds to really fill out the area but as it sits today, they are doing well on their own without the additional speakers. I think this was a great and lucky choice and if you are looking for an affordable solution, without giving up sound quality, these will probably make you very happy.

4This ring is HUGE!!!
By j.bay
Beautiful ring but it would have been best shown on a hand model. The ring is BIG! I was quite stunned when I opened the box. Bling-rings are "in" and I was looking for a nice blingy piece to wear everyday. This is not quite what I had in mind. This is definetly a show stopper. The gems are authentic-looking and the ring is very well made. It has a nice weight and except for the size it's a great "get-over". I think it's not something one would wear everyday unless your job was in the entertainment/service field. I'm on the fence about sending it back which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. For a show piece...it's worth every penny. You will get lots of compliments. It's really beautiful; sparkles like true yellow diamonds, gorgeous, can't stress that enough... but it's BIG (wide) around, about 1 1/2 plus inches in diameter.

5A wonderful saw for someone tight on space
By Futurestock
As someone who makes exacting cuts, has very little space, and demands high quality tools, I have been happy with the Bosch 4100 table saw so far. I did a lot of research before making a decision.First I wanted a compact saw, but still wanted to stay within the contractor grade saw & motor rather than the typical compact=cheap saw. Next, my saw absolutely had to have a fence that didn't move 1/16" to 1/4" as it was tightening. This saw accomplishes all of this.In my experience, saws didn't get beyond the fence problem until they passed the $300-$400 mark.I am happy that Bosch paid attention to a lot of little things about this product. The fence, blade guard, anti-kickback pawls, and miter guage all stow pretty neatly under the saw's table. The cord wraps up nicely around the provided pegs. The fence tightening handle is out of the way and doesn't catch the operator in the stomach as one walks around it.I wanted a saw that included modern safety mechanisms and whose safety features were such that I wouldn't be bothered by them and tempted to remove them all the time. I have gotten along well with all of these attachments and feel a lot better having the riving knife behind the blade to prevent it from grabbing a hold of a board and throwing it at me. Only for narrow cuts, 1/2" or less do I find myself needing to remove the pawl and frequently the guard can remain in place with one side lifted to its high position thereby clearing the fence altogether and leaving the other side of the blade covered.Having previously *always* measured from the blade, I wasn't expecting much from the onboard ruler. To my surprise, this is very accurate and reliable. I still measure from the blade for very exacting cuts (less than 1/10th of an inch precision) but normally a cut like that goes to the jointer to bring it to spec.I am impressed with the "backwards" ruler that you use when you are extending the table. For those who haven't see this, it is a different scale that gives you a reading as the fence is in the proper place and you are sliding out the right side extension.I like the soft start motor. It doesn't dim the lights and pull maximum amps when it is powered on. Instead, it spins up a little more gently. The motor has good power. An 8 foot rip cut on a 2" walnut piece went without much effort. It makes very smooth cuts for me most of the time. I am able to cut much closer to the final size than with my previous setup; thereby wasting less. There are a few things that I would like to improve about this saw:I think it would be a bit safer if the power switch were slightly easier to turn off. It looked to me like one that you could bump and accidentally shut off (a feature I expect of machinery with large switches.) It isn't quite the case. Although the switch is large and pivots on a fairly large radius, it takes a reasonably deliberate motion to turn it off. I find myself turning it off with a push stick most of the time. I have to hit it a little bit to do that.I have a little bit of trouble with the black part of fence assembly at the ruler hanging up my piece or push stick a little bit. I think it might be about 1/32" higher than the table. It is a tiny bit inconvenient to get the fence into its storage position beneath the table. It can usually be guided into place only one way from front to back that is a little awkward. If the fence had a thumb roller wheel on it for really fine adjustments, that would be more direct than tapping it left and tapping it right until it's just right. At times it would be nice if there were a little bit of additional space to the left side of the blade, but what can I say, I wanted a compact saw!Beyond those things, I give thumbs up for this saw. I opted for the sawdust bag and use it a lot of the time. Without the bag, it shoots a stream of sawdust out the chute about 5 feet. It has great power, and the stock blade has been nice enough that I haven't even tried the Freud blade yet.The provision for extra side support and outfeed support addons is appreciated and something I may consider for the future, although I haven't the room to leave those on there permanently. This saw cut pine like it was butter and cut hard woods as easily as my old setup cut pine.

5An extraordinary TS given its price point and genre
By Pacbell
I owned and liked the earlier model, but traded up to a Powermatic cast iron table top saw. For safety reasons, I later bought the 4100, and use it often for stiles, rails, and small sheetgoods. If you can buy the 4100 'Bosch-refurbished,' do so, as I did.You can read about kickback repeatedly, but once you've experienced it, you then truly understand and respect its potential danger. Despite using care and mechanical devices when ripping, I have been hit hard and fast via kickback. So what? you say.The pitch you have likely heard about riving knives ("RK") is not hype. If you understand the physics, the merits of an RK are obvious. Or, try ripping with an RK-equipped TS, and you can virtually feel the increased safety. The 4100 is at least $2000 cheaper than any other RK-equipped table saw worth having. The blade guard and pawls are as ingenious as the gravity stand under the saw--brilliantly engineered. The safety devices are so easy/flexible to use that you may actually do so.The 4100 does have T slots (vs. the 4000). And if you've read about a problem with the lateral table extension, it would only arise if you bought it as old stock from a retailer--and Bosch will correct the problem quickly and gratis.Although the Bosch has a certain toy-like quality (nothing about it is heavy or really solid feeling), it is a precision machine. With the use of a quality blade, inset cabinetry can be cut flawlessly.P.S.Revisiting kickback . . . I believe the documentation instructs the user to be sure the fence is parallel to the blade. That information is technically incorrect and flat out wrong if you are not using a riving knife--where you will bind the blade, burn wood, and jamb the splitter. Verify that the blade is parallel with the table slot; then, using the slot as a guide, be sure the far end of the fence moves away from the blade, if only just discernably so.

4A Big Improvement
By Tim Uhler
I bought this saw about a month ago. We use it for framing and siding. I bought it after talking to Gary Katz about the guard system. The problem with table saws in general is that the guards are a joke and on the jobsite we aren't going to bother with it if it is a hassle. Because of this, I wasn't comfortable having a table saw on site often. After using this to cut rips of sheathing, lots of exterior trim, etc I have to say that the guard works perfectly for what we do. We don't set up the saw for dados (which the guard doesn't work well with according to a review in Professional Deck Builder) so that isn't a problem. It doesn't work as well when making super thin rips. The saw has a soft start feature which is nice, it is quiet and really light weight. Overall we are very pleased with this saw. We put it in a Rosseau table and it works great for us.

5Get it. Get it now! I rarely go overboard for a product, but this qualifies.
By T. Hassler
In the middle of 2008, I started work building my home theater. A project planned for years, and finally executed. I had the speakers and receiver picked out and the projector is the fantastic Panasonic AE2000. The last part actually ended up being just as awesome in it's own way to the more expensive and high tech gadgetry. I shopped all over every major store, some minor ones, and found this baby on Amazon. It was "reasonable" which was kind of one of my founding principles for budgeting... I'd call it High Medium End gear. The pictures don't do it justice... and I STRONGLY recommend reviewing the video on the manufacturers website.First off, I had a lot of requirements for this. The one area I didn't want to skimp on was the support for a $2500 projector, but I have a rather low basement ceiling and needed something both sturdy and shallow. It's hard to tell based on the information on the site... they really should give more details. I guess this one looked close to the best if maybe a bit more expensive than some I had seen. I found out, that based on the value of this item, the cost was WELL worth it.It's rock solid steel, the arms are very adjustable, the tooling is quality, and it's adjustability is fantastic. I wasn't even aware of how easy this would be to adjust, and really that should be an aspect of your mounting solution. This has hide-away knobs that fit into the base, but pull out so you can fine tune the system without needing a long driver. You should also consider having enough room between the projector and ceiling to fit your hand in to release or adjust. The sliding mount is very solid and you don't feel for an instant it's going to give out on you. Everything is gear driven, and can be locked down tight to prevent wiggle. The only complaint, and it's a fairly minor one, is that the screws used on the arms to adjust the vertical feet began to strip due to the force necessary to tighten them. I wish they had been deeper welled or had slightly bigger heads. I eventually had to use a spare screw from the bag (meant for another part) on one particular foot which required more than two adjustments to get things right, causing the head to strip. Even so, not much of a nuissance, and maybe the company will consider hardened steel screws or something in their future packaging if they read this.I can't recommend this enough, a very pleasant surprise that this was SO much better than anything I saw in the store unless you spent 2-3 times as much, and even then, I doubt you'd find one much better.Oh, and it's fully capable of using an extension pipe if you need more depth and it comes with a steel security strap lock for projectors in public spaces. I shopped a long time before deciding. If you're just starting or have been looking for the right one... don't hesitate, just get this one and know that it's a GREAT bang for the buck.

4Good quality for cheap!
By D. Brown
I used this mount for an NEC NP50 projector and it did the job. I did have to configure the arms in a weird way (the projector was very small) but it worked. It has security screws and very very easy pitch and yaw adjustment. This is comparable to many Cheif Peerless and Premier mounts that cost over $200!

5Works well with Epson 6100 projector
By vthfan
I'm using this mount for a home theater setup in a multi-purpose room in the basement. I like the low profile of this mount because I didn't want the projector to hang too low from the 9 foot ceiling to where it would be an eye sore. Since it is white, it blends well against the white ceiling and with my mostly white Epson 6100UB projector. I was able to easily install the mount on the ceiling using the 2 supplied screws. Attaching the projector to the mount was also easy. It can tilt and roll vertically, but I was able to make some adjustments to the way the projector attaches on to the mount's spider legs to get a little horizontal shift. This combined with the projector's lens shift allowed me to place the mount off center on the available ceiling I-beam. The mount can also rotate and removing the projector from the mount for maintenance is easy.

5Nice Ring
By J. Casella
This is a nice ring and looks as good as the pictures. Hard to scratch. It fits about a half size bigger than my others in the same size, most likely due to the design/style. I like this ring and would recommend it to others, great buy.

Not thrilled with the size of this ring. It looks rather gaudy on the finger. It would be very nice if it wasn't huge.

This ring looks just like it does in the picture. The only issue I have with it is the black onyx seems like it may come apart from the ring - it has not at this time, though.

5outstanding product
By 1limdandy2011
Absolutely the most practical laser for a firearm. It is vastly superior to any of the awkward exterior clamp on decices. Automatically bore sighted by taking the place of the recoil spring support. The on off lever is easy to work and accessable and does not interfere with my holster. And no change in weight or balance. Thank you for an outstanding product.

By Craig
First time out the 1911 type auto did everything except smokestack. I got out my Wilson springs and cut one off as short as the original and installed it. I haven't had a chance to test it yet. This is the only reason for 3 out of 5 stars.

4Pretty good, and fast
By Gigs
As has been noted elsewhere, this is specifically for 18.5 inch barrels. You *might* get away with a 20 inch barrel with a normal stock, but it would be tight. The box has 5 pushbuttons on the mechanical lock. You can program it with a code that uses each button only once, with the potential of requiring more than one button to be pressed at once.Being kind of a geek, I figured out the number of combinations possible. There are 930 possible combinations. I was going to put all the math here but it's kind of boring. The good part is that you could program it with say a 2+3 combination, that is two buttons at once plus the other three at once, and even though it's only two quick button presses, it's still secure (there are 100 possible 2+3 combinations). You can have this thing open in 5 seconds flat. The steel is heavy enough for a box of this size. It's not overly heavy, but the steel is not the weak point. The combination lock by itself leaves the box pretty prone to an attack with a pry bar. It's best to install this in a way that anyone who wanted to pry it open couldn't easily get leverage, that is, put the side that opens close to a wall or something. There are two additional ace locks that would help secure it if you wanted to have some additional security, but they would be no match if someone got leverage with a pry bar.In conclusion If you want kids or casual passers by not to tinker with your gun, yet still retain very quick access, this box is for you. It wouldn't stop someone determined to get the box open, but mounting it in a way that reduces the ability to get leverage would help slow them down a little bit.

5terrific for home defense short barrel shotguns
By G. Wheeler
My V-Line Industries 3842-SA Shotgun Case arrived quickly and in fine shape. It is extremely well designed and constructed - so will safely keep my grandchildren away from my gun. The entirely mechanical 4-pushbutton lock is sweet and works exactly as I hoped. It is extremely important to note that the longest gun this case will accept is an overall length of 40½ inches. Fortunately, my Remington 870 has a short "home protection" 18½-inch barrel - so has an overall length of only 38½-inches. I'm delighted, but please be sure to check the length of your gun carefully before ordering this little steel case. I say "little", because it will hold only two short shotguns like mine! But that's precisely what lets it fit behind a bedroom door or in one's closet!

2Lock malfunction and flimsy
By John Van Uden
I did quite a bit of research before buying this gun cabinet. I wanted a way to store my shotgun safely out of reach of kids and casual thieves but rapidly accessible to me if needed. The main problem with the item I received was that the locking mechanism didn't work. It basically didn't open. After many tries in different positions, I finally got it open once by opening it door-side-down. After that, I was never able to open it again. Yes, I was following the instructions and doing it correctly, and have no problem opening similar mechanisms in other products. I called V-Line customer support, who answered the phone right away and was very responsive, but couldn't help me solve the problem and determined that it must be either defective or damaged in transit. There was no visible damage to the packaging or cabinet. I sent it back to Amazon, which has a great no-hassel return policy. I was very happy with both V-Line and Amazon with regard to customer service. The second problem I have with this item is more subjective (ie you might not agree with me). I think it is not secure enough for its intended purpose. When I was fiddling with the door trying to get the lock to open, I could pry a corner slightly open with my fingers, without really trying very hard. I am sure that I could break into this cabinet if I wanted with either my bare hands and a little muscle or with some simple leverage like a screwdriver or a knife. No real tools required. It is closed at only 1 point along its long edge, without closures along the top or bottom, and it is just sheet metal, making it seem flimsy.Don't get me wrong, it will keep small children and casual guests out, and is better than nothing for sure, but calling it a safe is a stretch. It is a locking cabinet.

5Very nice, but not opaque- you see right through it
By Mrs. Reader
This is very nice, good quality. It is nice material within the frames, rattan-like but finer, and you can see through it so if you want to use it to block anything you might want to pick another one. I actually tacked two sheer curtains I had on the back of it and it looks great and blocks the view through it, so you could do that too. I am happy with it.

5Whatever the price, it is great
By R. Miller
Some have complained about the price. The nearest dealer here in south New Jersey is over in the Philadaelphia area. I tried three-four times to contact them through the online email URL with no response each time. So I went to amazon who came through again. The x2 is everything it is advertised to be. Easy to operate, reliable, quiet, Eco-friendly and more than sufficient to my needs. I live about 1.5 miles from my usual golf course and ride it over, around eighteen holes and home again with battery power to spare. I'm something of a tubby so am at the top end of the weight range for the x2 and have no trouble Segwaying about our village and around the course. One problem I have had is due to the uneven terrain on the golf course. Because of uneven terrain, the golf bag and holder tend to get thrown side to side when riding the course. After almost getting thrown off once when the bag and stand became disconnected from the frame, I now make it a habit to check the fastening system regularly for fit and tightness. I also have wrapped two bungee cords around the front and rear attachment points as safety belts should it become loose again. But don't let this deter anyone from buying a Segway. They are great little machines if used properly and appropriate care is taken.

5Be Smart
By JvilleOregonBuyer
Only buy from authorized dealers!!Software upgrades cost $200, if you don't buy a unit that is current.Shipping to the factory costs upwards of $150-$200 per direction.Bad Batteries are about $850 to replace.Buy from an authorized dealer. Ask questions. Be smart. Don't fall for "U can get it from a dealer for about $1,000 less" kind of crap. Buyer Beware - you really do get what you pay for.

5U can get it from a dealer for about $1,000.00 less
By George Simonson
While a great product, do not pay this price. Any Segway dealer can get it for you for about 1K less.

5The Perfect Pistol Safe
By Winston Smith
I obsess over topics. I spend days reviewing and find the exact perfect thing I want. I did the same for pistol safes for my nightstand. I looked at several electronic combination lock safes-- they all have the problem of failing batteries. When batteries fail, what do you do? Some have a backup key. But the point in having a combination is not to have a key around that your kid can find, right??? So there goes that. Some have external battery or AC Adapter connectors, but funny things happen when you short-circuit them: they go back to the default combinations. Ouch! This one is very well built, takes no batteries (entirely mechanical), and fits in a drawer. What more can you want? This one is the best.UPDATE: I like this so much that when we go on long trips, this gets brought along. It's just small enough to fit in my backpack with my laptop and other things I usually take, and really appreciate being able to stay armed, yet comply with laws by having this around wherever we go. I'm thinking about getting a second one as a backup or for another room in the house.

5I love this gun safe.
By D. Levy
I own several of these safes. They are compact, yet not too compact. It will hold up to two handguns. I much prefer the ease and simplicity of the 5 button Simplex lock over my two biometric safes.

3WARNING: LOCK MADE IN CHINA and NOT SIMPLEX
By NORCAL_AV8OR
After using several AMSEC safes like this made 15 - 20 years ago, I found myself needing a few more. I looked at the AMSEC again but found they now use electronic locks, which is a non-starter for a gun safe. So I saw the V-LINE and thought I'd give it a try. Immediately upon opening the package I could tell it was not a real SIMPLEX lock. SIMPLEX locks are made by KABA-ILCO. The lock included with this V-LINE is a D900 from Illinois Lock Company. The lock is made in China. I would have had no reason to even research this if it weren't for the fact that the lock feels cheap. It feels 'loose', and not in the attachment sense but the operational sense. Worse, it feels and sounds as if it could or is about to break or jam internally every time you use it, or the knob is going to strip off. In short, the lock does not inspire confidence and does not hold a candle to my old school USA MADE SIMPLEX locks found in my AMSEC safes. My old SIMPLEX locks work and feel as if someone knew your life depended on it. These D900 locks feel as if profit was the only consideration given to their manufacture. In fairness, I have heard from V-LINE that KABA is now making the SIMPLEX lock in China too and V-LINE moved away from the Simplex locks after having trouble with them. I will need to confirm that with KABA though before I am convinced this isn't self serving FUD.So it is pretty disappointing to have such a well made case equipped with such a cheap feeling, confidence busting lock. I plan to exercise this lock several hundred times before I put my faith in it, and I suggest you do the same. Stuff something in the case like rolled up socks so as to put some upward pressure on the door and lock before you start exercising and validating it. Testing the lock with an empty case isn't a test.Speaking of upward pressure on the door, these cases are very short. My AMSEC cases are a couple or few inches taller and accept a holstered pistol with no problem. These V-LINE cases have too much padding up top to allow the door to close on the same pistol setups. I may be forced to remove some of the padding on the top door. When the door is forced closed against something, it only causes more stress on the lock when you have to open it. So keeping pressure off the door is pretty important. These cases would be great as-is for vehicle mounting because they would keep whatever is in them very snug and immobile. But for home use in a drawer, this is not required so the extra padding is taking up valuable real estate.Five stars for the case, one star for the lock. I guess that means three stars total. I will edit my review after some time working the lock and trying various products inside.

5Beautiful!
By Erin
I've been wanting these boots for a long time and finally pulled trigger on getting them. Because of other reviews I've read, I knew that lot of people reported that they ran small and I ordered two sizes. I normally wear an 8 and occasionally a 7.5. I ordered 8 and 8.5. The 8s were very difficult to put on so I kept the 8.5s. But after wearing them a few times and giving them a chance to break in a little (these are really stiff boots that you'll want to spend some time breaking in before you do a lot of walking), I think I might have been better keeping the 8s. The only solace I take in keeping the larger size is that I can always wear thicker socks with them and my feet are only going to get bigger as a I age, and I intend to wear these boots for the rest of my life (the only way I can justify the cost). I partictularly love the color of these, which is a very dark brown that works equally well with a black outfit as it does with other colors.

5Love them Fryes
By J. MacDonald
I love these boots. I have a hard time wearing boots because of my calves. These were perfect. Not to hard to break in. Got my boots in the mail and wore them the next day. I would order Frye boots again. They look really great on my feet. Thankyou J from San Antonio Texas.

5FANTASTIC
By Chris S. Mccready
These boots are so very comfortable. I have a bad foot and they work great. They are wide enough and the heel is low enough that I can wear them all day either with long skirts, dresses, pants, or jeans. I absolutely love Frye boots. Thank you Christine McCready
