Perfect for rigging

This comes in real handy to free up my hands when im 75' up in the rafters at our local arena. I use this to hold my rope when im rigging shows. It works really well. It's rated for a 1/2" rope but it still works well with my 5/8" rope. I would suggest buying a swivel to go with it if you are using it for show rigging. Other than that it is a great product!

good self-belay device

bought this for a self-belay to run laps after work at a local crag. seems like a lot of people prefer to use two to be safe, but i trust just the one. if you use it for self-belay, you need to attach it with an OVAL BIENER ONLY to prevent cross loading. it's also a good idea to carry a sling to tie a prusik to escape the device in case you can't finish a route. i haven't used it to haul gear yet, but it seems like a good tool to have in case of a self rescue or partner rescue situation.
