Fast Powerful Cuts

I was surprised at how easy this cordless cuts through materials. There is no cord to get tangled and hooked on corners, and the power-brake makes it much safer than other circular saws I have used. It's lightweight and very comfortable, which is typical of the newer Makita tools. This saw has a nice LED light that illuminates the cutting path. I would much rather use this over my table saw, especially on larger sheets of plywood. The included blade cuts smoothly and accurately. Take note that the smaller 1.5AH batteries will not fit on this saw, it requires the 3.0AH.I am completely satisfied and would highly recommend the purchase of this saw.

Four decks in the past year, from 300 to 800 sq feet and this is the only saw I have had to use. My Makita Hypoid saw is out of order, but this little saw does every thing but rip long boards. Being light, cordless, and powerful enough is saving me time. I did jam the blade once, took out the very hot battery and, per the instruction manual, put it strait into the charger. This ruined the battery. The warranty dept. got me a new battery a few days latter. Much better saw than the old DeWalt 18v (my old cordless.) Best part is that the LXT is more accurate than a framing saw. So I trust cutting expensive synthetic decking with it.

Be sure you have the right battery

This saw works very nicely, precision made and well designed. Battery charge does not last too long, you will have to recharge frequently - but this is due to the laws of physics and the amount of power required to saw, rather than a design fault.Speaking of the battery however - Makita makes two versions of the 18V lithium batteries, 3 AH and a smaller 1.5 AH version which goes well with light drills and impact wrenches. My previous Makita tools all came with the smaller battery - but turns out the 1.5 will NOT fit this saw, which accepts only the 3 AH version. I didn't know that and neither the Makita website nor manual say anything about it, which is annoying. So I had to buy a new battery for this, which added $65 to the price.

Somewhat disappointed

Amazon recently ran this bracelet on a special price of $31.99 during the holidays. I had been looking at it for some time because I have a lot of gemstone earrings and rings. While it is a pretty bracelet, there are some things that I wish were better. For instance, all of the stones are rather small, noticeably smaller than the beetle type clasp, which sticks out prominently as a result. There are a total of 20 stones in the bracelet, four of each color. Regarding the color of the stones, the amethysts are dark, almost a purple black, not at all like the picture; the citrine is a washed out yellow; and the topaz is pale blue, just as pictured. The garnets and peridots are the truest in color, the garnets being a medium to dark red with no brown tones and the peridot being a light to medium traditional green for that gem. The clasp does work somewhat hard, but not impossibly so; it's the outside two finishing clips that are the problem rather than the slide in piece. I'm going to keep the bracelet, but if I had paid the current price of $50, I would have returned it as being too expensive for what it is. January 12 update: after taking the bracelet on and off several times, the clips have become less stiff, making them easier to fasten and remove.

This CD rack is modern, sleek and holds a whole lot of CD jewel cases. Easy to install if done carefully (just a few screws to drive in) and is remarkably sturdy, even with a full load. Just be careful with the pictures- this rack does NOT hold DVD cases upright (I have them lying horizontally, which does not look as good, nor do they take up the optimal amount of space).

Beautiful!

My husband bought me the Sterling Silver Marcasite and Blue Gold Stone Heart Pendant, 18" for Christmas, and I loved it. A couple weeks later, Amazon popped up these earrings as a recommended also option and he bought them for me as well. They are stunning! The picture is fairly accurate, but does not show just how sparkly and pretty they truly are. The dark blue stones look like they have glitter mixed into them - and they look black or even purple depending on the light. I wear them with sapphire jewelry. Please see my pictures.These are substantial earrings, with a bit of weight to them, and high quality. With the pendant, it's a beautiful set. I only wish there was a coordinating bracelet or ring - I would not hesitate to buy them. Definitely worth the price, and highly recommended!

Very Vintage & Feminine

This is a bold, although not overpowering piece. The pendant is large enough to be noticed without being too big. The measurements (from top of the bail) are about 1-3/4 inch long by 1-3/8 inch wide. Artistic detail on this necklace is exquisite! Very femine and vintage in style. It's much more elaborate than pictured--my guess is the detail is difficult to capture with a camera. Even the chain included has a sturdy yet lady-like appeal. I'm looking forward to wearing this piece throughout the holidays! Note that the bail is circular, meaning it can also slip over a strand of seed pearls or a silk cord! Lovely!

Great Product

These are quality stands that have a nice finish to them. My only gripe is that they do not extend very high. Out of the box they are 766mm, but they only extend to 980mm. This places my speakers at the lower corners of my 52" Sony LCD that sits on our Hooker Furniture LCD/plasma cabinet. I cannot gripe too much - the stands were a great value at $299 and without tax or shipping charges through Amazon, I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else. If you own the DAV-X10 system, you may want to buy these stands quickly because the system itself has been pulled from Sony's website. (I would assume a system with more HDMI connectivity is on the way since this only has one HDMI output slot)

Appealing in pictures, but . . . .

I, too, found this cuff to be very, very pretty, and grabbed it up during Cyber Monday deals. However, when it came I was disappointed in the size/width and also the weight. The "cuff" was more like a very wide bangle, unlike the image showing the cuff on a woman's wrist. I thought it would be a fairly good deal, but I had in mind a wider cuff, so I sent it back. I can't believe it would sell at its original price! The return was very easy; I appreciate Amazon for that. But I also think an accurate picture or details about size would have been helpful.

Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet

I am allergic to metals, except for sterling silver and gold. Over the last five years, my allergy has become so extreme that I can't wear a non-silver ring without coming up in hives! Tragically, I am a person who loves jewelry and accessories. I was thrilled to find this cuff bracelet from Amazon's Curated Collection, at 80% off its normal price, so someone like me can afford it! I paid a reasonable price for it, and the bracelet is very pretty and looks like it was advertised to look, on the outside. It is sterling, and I can wear it without allergy trouble, but the inside of the cuff was made more cheaply, and is a little more "rough" than I expected. I realize I got it for a great price and it is all sterling silver, marked and true. I was just a bit disappointed that the inside patterning is obviously not made to be beautiful--it's made to "be on the back", more cheaply, and not be seen. It is like when you get a beautiful ring from someone, but when you look behind the stone, you see that it has used the least precious metal possible to hold the jewel in place, and the metal is thin and light, albeit gold. This is the only reason why II have split feelings, because I am so happy it is silver and pretty and wearable, and it was priced down to about $40 with the 80% discount. However, I think if I had not bought it discounted, I would be disappointed that the quality is not the same on the inner part. But that said, I'm glad I bought it: I just would have liked the pictures to have shown that the craftsmanship inside the cuff is not as quality as it appears is the pictures.

Sony's 1080p24, Dolby TrueHD, dts-HDMA Receiver...

The Sony STR-DG2100 7.1 Channel Receiver allows 1080p 24hz (fps) pass through, so owners of Toshiba's 1080p24 HD DVD players can now enjoy 24fps and PS3's can use the "auto" selection (instead of "on" forced) and still get the same benefit of 24fps through a receiver. Also, nice for owners of Toshiba's HD DVD XA2 or A35 (and some Blu-ray players) is the inclusion of Dolby+, Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio for, IMO, a great improvement in sound with these formats (as opposed to having them decoded in their players). Of course, soon more Blu-ray and HD DVD players will allow these high performance features to be even more beneficial. In the meantime this new Sony receiver offers improvements in switching over, say, the STR-DG1000, like being able to easily listen to FM radio (or other audio source) while watching a movie or TV show and NOT causing the unit to try to switch HDMI video, which usually results in havoc. Also, if you just want FM/AM radio, this new receiver cycles through just those and excludes XM and Sirius (unless you want to add them, of course, as they are available), which results in less unnecessary cycling - nice touch. At a little over 30-lbs this receiver feels well constructed, but not obese. Finally, This receiver delivers a fully enveloping sweet and airy sound that benefits from it's rating of 100-watts per channel. Even so, it is fairly efficient requiring only about 350-watts power allowing it to run much cooler and is definitely more eco-conscience then most of the popular receivers currently offered. So, now I can leave it on more often and feel less guilty. I really love mine, nice job Sony!

Very Happy

I moved a Yamaha RXV-757 receiver/amp into another room because it did not have HDMI connections and purchased the Sony STRDG2100. I have always had good luck with Sony products and I was not disappointed this time either.The ability to switch from HDMI 1 for gaming and HDMI 2 for television is a huge improvement over a non-HDMI amp. PS3 games now shake this Historic 1880's building we live in!The set-up on the amp was very easy and I am not a videophile by any stretch of the imagination. I just followed instructions from the book and actually did not have even a hiccup.In use with my PS3 this amp is amazing. It really sounds great, I think better than the older Yamaha which has always received good reviews.The auto speaker set-up is very easy to use and detected all of my Bose speakers on the first try.I do like that this Sony receiver/amp only uses 350 watts of electricity and runs cooler than the Yamaha. Heat had been a problem with the Xbox 360, the PS3, a Sony CD player and the Sony amp all in the same cabinet and now with the Sony instead of the Yamaha, the cabinet is much cooler.Overall a good product and great service through Amazon.

Beautiful Bracelet

I was quite pleased with this bracelet. It looks delicate but is fairly sturdy. I love the elegant design. While the clasp seems to hold the bracelet together well it is also my only complaint. It tends to snag sweaters so I would suggest not wearing it with them. I have a small wrist and it is fairly big on me. It falls over my hand a little bit, but it is not loose enough to come off my hand without undoing the clasp.

Fabulous bracelet for a great price

I love this bracelet. It is beautifully crafted, easy to clasp, and a nice weight. The design is intricate and well cut (no jagged edges). It looks much more expensive than the price it is currently listed at with Amazon. I looked long and hard for a bracelet like this and found others that were double the price but I am very happy with this purchase. I would highly recommend this bracelet. It is true to size and could easily be worn for day or night activities.

(B/c it is a gift, and I am not the future warer).However, I felt it would be helpful to all to explain how to open the clasp. To close: (1) slip plank into bridge (2) secure side clasps. To remove: (1) remove side clasps (2) *push down* on button and pull apart.Sure, it's easy when you know, but I thought the button was on bottom (take a look, it looks like a button), and that didn't work so I almost crowbarred it apart (of course there is no one at Amazon you can call on this)...

Panoramic photography sits atop the myriad list of creative exploits in my career. I see it as a way to illustrate the often sweeping landscapes and cityscapes with realism and depth.Often, the difficulty lies not in finding such vistas, but in one's ability to render them in sharp detail from corner to corner. This can only be achieved if we have accurately adjusted for parallax, depth of field, degree of overlap, and most important is the uniformity of the ball head and camera relative to the plane. They both have to be Level for the panoramic stitching to work the most effectively, and to capture the entirety of your picture without having to crop for uneven borders.Enter the Acratech leveling base. I own it and it is absolutely fantastic because there is a lot of time and energy saved when there is 15 degrees of movement on a 360 deg axis. In this way your ball head is level, and it will not budge unless you want to readjust for a change in scenery. It will hold the typical lenses required for panoramic photography. I.e., medium zoom range lenses work best, as do telephotos, but try to avoid wide angle lenses as there are issues with overlap in panoramic software. There are also a plethora of related articles out there which will help you determine the nodal points for your lenses in order to get the best degree of overlap and avoid juxtapositions in your images, i.e., crooked or disconnected linear planes that even the best programs cannot repair.Here is a link that you may find helpful in your pursuit for the best panoramic scenery you can imagine! very well built

This is my latest acquisition for panoramas, it is very strong but lightweight, i have another leveling base, by manfrotto, but its very heavy and slow to operate compared to this one. whoever designed and built this knows the needs of traveler and hiking photographers, i recommend this if you need a leveling base that works.

Best way to quickly level your camera

This leveling base makes locking the camera to dead level fast and easy, invaluable in run-and-gun shooting situations. The leveling bubble is large and easy to see, the knob is easy to loosen and tighten, even with gloves. Solid, quality construction; it handles the weight of my EX1r camcorder loaded with external monitor, two wireless receivers, a shotgun mic and a very large battery. I plan to get another one of these for my second tripod. My only complaint is there're no way to use the tripod's set screws to positively lock the base to the top of a tripod and it has rotated if I have the pan head swivel locked too tightly. Small complaint about a very useful piece of gear.

Beautiful Bracelet!

I received this bracelet as a birthday gift from my husband. It is beautiful! At first glance, I was a little disappointed because its width is slightly bigger than I had anticipated...I thought it would be a little more dainty than what it is. Though it is larger than what I was expecting, I still love it and will wear it for dressier occasions.
