Love the look and feel of the pen. Don't like the nib, though, which is why I downgrade from 5 to 4 stars.

A Great Pen for a Great Price!

First word that comes to mind: WOW! and not just the pen either. Avalon Gallery sells this pen for a great price with free shipping. I ordered it, and no more than 3 days later, it arrived at my doorstep, fantastic. The outer box had some scratches on it, but the actual inner padded case was scratch free and beautiful. The pen writes very well with it's medium nib. That is to be expected, however, since this is a Pelikan anyway. The piston filling mechanism is smooth and works flawlessly and the pen has a good amount of heft to it. I also ordered an extra fine nib from an alternate source, and I am looking to exchange this medium nib for an oblique medium form Chartpak (Pelikan's US Carrier).
