Patch Just About any 2 Rf Things Together

Mechanically, These things appear to be ok.Nice case.The connecting ends aren't bad.Look and feel is ok.Still, it all hinges on barreling everything together with SMA barrels.I'm not sure what the various combinations would sweep to on a network analyzer.I would assume that the limit would be more defined - via, the lower bandwidth connector.You can connect Rf cables - which, in the real world, should never meet.Definitely, the buck shot approach to adapting.Good for proof of feasibility.At Least, you can find out if it's worth ordering the correct milled adapter.

RF Connector Kit

This connector kit is just what I needed for my job. No more endlessly searching for the right combination of cables and connectors to hook my spectrum analyzer into a troubled system. The soft case is well built and aids in the organization while mitigates leaving a connector at a job site. The case is small and fits well in any bag or tool box. Each connector has a gold-plated brass body with center conductors that have the look and feel of quality.The smaller kits looked nice but did not come with F-type connectors which I need. In all honesty the only connector I'm likely to never use in this set is the RCA male and females.I ordered the 36in Pomona COAX cable(PN: 5749-36) to go along with this set. It wraps up nicely inside the case and the threaded ends match the universal side of the connectors perfectly. This renders the included universal connectors almost useless in my application of the kit; which is generally limited to tying my spec. anny. into a system to troubleshoot IF problems.Christopher Hall

As an Electronics Technician in US Navy, we frequently perform maintenance on communications and radar equipment which uses various types of connections. We had a very similar connector kit in the work center and it has been indispensable while underway. Although the price appears steep, its ease of use, versatility in the field, and helpful guide within the case, more than make up for the price. Its been so useful that I purchased this kit myself just so we had a spare set of connectors.I highly recommend the product and the package arrived 1 week before the estimated arrival date, which shows why Amazon.com is my #1 choice for online shopping.
