Great reel for the money

I spent a lot of time looking for an auto-retracting 3/8" diameter 100' length hose reel, and found this one to be the best for the money. So far it has not let me down. It's very heavy (~70 lbs), but easy to mount to a wall with 1/2" lag bolts. Quality seems as expected - no complaints. Hose is very flexible and easily retracts all the way. I looked at the levelwind technology reels and after using this reel I feel that the levelwind reel is not necessary. I have not had any problems just letting this reel retract. Note that the hose had a yellow residue on it, so you'll probably want to wipe it down before dragging it through the house. Mine is now clean after running it through my hands a couple times, but the first time my hands were yellow.

I needed this. Have a 60 gallon 3hp stationary compressor. Needed a way to get the air to different parts of the garage inside and out. Didn't want to have to fool with the hose every time I used it. This Auto-Rewind hose reel filled the bill. One hundred feet and 3/8" does the job and keeps the hose out from under foot. I mounted up high on a side wall just above the compressor so everything is out of the way but still handy.

Very Bad Quality.

Got the item in the other day. The packaging was terrible from the manufacturer. The retractable reel is very finicky and likes to release on it's own without warning. The air chuck actually whipped back and hit my car and made a nice dent! To add to the frustration the yellow is bleeding off the hose and on my floor and hands like bad dye or something o the hose. Just wanted to share my feelings and vent about the so called great deal I got.
