Product Description
Ball chairs provide a different sitting experience than regular chairs. They force you to sit up straighter and many people simply prefer them over regular chairs. We provide all of our chairs with a 1 year guarantee. As an additional bonus, we provide an exclusive exercise ball measuring tape that takes the guesswork out of inflating your ball. Sitting on an exercise ball while at home or work promotes flexibility, coordination, motor skills, core strengthening, and balance. Your body, when positioned on top of an exercise ball, is constantly making small adjustments, often imperceptible, to remain balanced and thus is constantly exercising a large group of muscles in doing so. It may take a few days before your body becomes accustom to sitting on an exercise ball. Start by using it 10 to 15 minutes a day and gradually work your way up. If you have had back problems or injuries, make sure to consult your physician or therapist first. Note: We provide a small pump for free for you to have a way to inflate your ball. However, exercise balls require a lot of air and it will take a lot of pumping with the free pump. So, you may want to consider purchasing at this time a high volume air pump, especially if you use exercise balls a lot or have other things you often inflate, like pool toys or air mattresses.

By Johanna Alley
I had a ball chair from a different company and was pleased with it until the front ball support snapped off and I landed on the floor on my tailbone. This chair seems much more secure and I have no fear of falling off. I don't know why any of them bother with a back rest. As you have to sit on top of the ball, it's not comfortable at all to try to lean back on the support. The wheels don't lock so one must make sure one is taking the seat right on top so the chair doesn't roll backwards as you are sitting down. But overall, I do like the much sturdier feel of this chair (the other was a plastic base) and it is very comfortable if you have lower back problems.

By Jeff Gusdorf
I have been using this ball chair since purchasing it in Feb, 2009. The ball sites in a metal ring with 4 caster posts and a fitting for the seat back welded to it. The casters insert into the posts and has 4 holes for adjusting the seat height by about 2 inches. The back rest attaches to the fitting on the bottom ring using two curved metal pieces. The ball chair works as described - I use it all day and it promotes good upright posture. The welds that hold the back on broke in June after 4 months of use. Since I weigh 170 lbs this seems more like a manufacturing defect than a misuse of the chair issue. I have sent the company several emails requesting a replacement part but have never received a reply. So I like the concept of the ball chair but would buy one that was better constructed.

By AlliCat
I've had had this chair at the office for over a year and sit on it an average of 8 or 9 hours a day, and have continued to recommend it to co-workers, who will periodically come borrow it when I am traveling on business :-)I sat on a yoga ball for over two years when I worked from home, but found that tiresome to do all day, and would switch from a computer desk chair to my yoga ball when my posture started to suffer. Some reviews warned you'd have to work you way up to sitting on this ball chair all day. I've had no problems! I felt so much more stable than I did on my yoga ball, and because I am not fighting all the roll and directional changes, I feel I am more sensitive to slight changes in my posture on the chair, and quickly correct it (now without thought). If I become aware of changing my posture a lot, I take that as indication that I need to get up and walk around. I feel refreshed when I return to the ball. My old office chair is now sitting in one of our conference rooms, my posture is PERFECT, and the grueling fatigue I used to feel at the end of the day in my lower back and shoulders (that caused headaches and made me feel 10yrs older) is gone. Best of all, that concerning forward roll I used to have in my shoulders from typing on the keyboard all day that gave me a permanant slouching, neanderthal apperance is corrected! (The same forward roll my massage therapist told me had actually shorten then muscles in the front, which had deformed the perfect posture I had before I took to full-time desk work!!). And those weekly massages I used to get? Bi-monthly at best, and that is more to treat workout fatigue. I feel soooooooooo wonderful thanks to this chair!!!I decided it was time to defend this product because I am dismayed at the reviews who rated the quality of this chair as poor. From my experience at least, I think I can counter most of the negative "quality" comments that I've seen:Common complaint no. 1: "The ball is too small" -- I saw this review multiple times when I purchased, but luckily I saw other reviewers comment that if you follow the manufacturers instructions on filling the ball, you should have no problems. I followed instructions, filling the ball part of the way, waited a day, and then filled it to full capacity. My ball is precisely the size as described by the manufacturer. And I only have to refill it about every 2 to 3 weeks at most. Funny how following instructions might actually serve a purpose!!!Common complaint no. 2: "The frame construction is poor/doesn't assemble properly/breaks": I am an industrial engineer by degree and earlier trade. I find the construction very solid. The assembly however was a bit trying because the tolerances are very tight; it was a force fit when I first assembled the chair, but got everything together with a small mallet. This I suggest doing at home (with band-aids at the ready) and bring to the office. I was concerned adjustments would be difficult afterward since I did chose this chair over others because it is adjustable, but I've been able to adjust the chair height fine. And lets be honest, how often are you going to change it once you get it set? And the year of pure enjoyment has made any frustration I had at assembly fade.Common Complaint no. 3: "The casters are poor.": I have a plastic chair mat, so this might be why I've had no problems, however I can roll over to my file cabinet or bookshelf, all within about 3 ft of me, as well as I ever did in my company-issued desk chair. Okay, so if you are forced to roll all over your office like you've entered the office chair olympics, maybe this chair isn't for you. But then if you're rolling all over creation and back, you're not really going to get the full benefit from the posture correction of this chair. I'm not here to win any long-distance races in my chair. In over a year's time, I've not had a problem. I could see how there could be a problem on carpet, especially thicker home carpet. Get a chair mat.I did tons of research prior to purchasing this chair, and feel there is no better value for the price. I will continue to recommend this chair.
