Product Description
Improves Picture and Sound Quality: Level 2 Power Cleaning and Linear Filtration eliminates common symptoms of contaminated power (including loss of detail, pops, hisses, hums and visual artifacts) and allows your A/V equipment to perform up to its full capability. Monitors Incoming Line Voltage and Provides a Visual Indication of Power Level: Panamax's patent pending AVM circuitry continuously monitors the incoming power as displayed on the digital voltmeter. In case of an under voltage or an overvoltage, a flashing red lightning bolt will be displayed in the voltmeter, and power to the connected equipment is automatically turned off if either of these conditions is detected. When voltage returns to a safe level, power to the equipment is automatically reconnected. Reduces Cross-Contamination Between Components: The M4300-PM is designed to provide noise isolation between 2 isolated outlet banks including 4 high current outlets so that any noise created by an A/V component can not contaminate the power going to equipment plugged into another outlet bank.

I bought my Panamax M4300-PM during a particularly bad spring and summer lightning storm season here in Virgina. Call me a sucker or call me an A/V enthusiast but I firmly believe that the strength of one's home theater is only as good as the weakest link. At the very least this unit gives me piece of mind. The M4300 is a breeze to set up and comes with enough plug-ins for a moderately sized home theater. There are 2 power banks, one for high-current electronics such as HDTV, DVD, DVR, etc. and a separate bank for audio components. Each has 4 plug-ins. The idea is to isolate each of the banks so that interference is not possible. The unit also features the requisite adapters for RG6, telephone and ethernet cables to completely protect the home theater.Functionally, the M4300 is completely quiet. The front of the unit features an easy to read blue light display with the current wattage feeding into the unit. The knobs on the front are actually static, downward facing amber LEDs. The main purpose is to illuminate A/V stacks in dark rooms without having to turn on a separate overhead light. To Panamax's credit the front display of the unit is very clean and the refresh rate of the wattage display isn't as distracting as similar Monster Cable Power Conditioners which in my experience are constantly adjusting the wattage display. All in all I've been very pleased with the M4300 and look forward to continuous years of peace of mind even during those spring and summer storms.

I got this to solve a very prominent low-level feedback hum coming through my TV and sound system speakers, and by running my cable line through this system, it fixed it! No more *very annoying* hum. Also, I can really see an marked improvement in the quality of the picture and hear a difference in the sound, particularly with cable channels.Originally, I purchased the Monster HDP 1800 PowerCenter, but lost about one-third of my cable channels due to interference from the unit with the cable signal. Even installing a signal amplifier didn't solve the issue. But taking those back and getting the Panamax in its place solved everything. According to Panamax, they have the lowest loss of cable signal in the industry (< 0.5 dB). Plus, the protection is superior. The unit has a convenient outlet and USB charging station on the front, and is also very nice looking--much nicer looking than the one I originally purchased in my opinion.Highly recommended!

By Hanoch McCarty
Ahh, for the days when "power" was electricity that came out of the socket and just worked. But now we have increasingly sensitive electronics and since I live in a small more rural town, we are subject often to surges, spikes, power outages, lightning strikes, etc. No winter ever has fewer than 10 complete outages, for example.I have had equipment blown by the lousy electric service they get away with selling here. So I've purchased this unit to 'condition' the power, prevent the surges, spikes, under and over voltages, etc. It seems to be doing the job, although winter hasn't arrived. I'll post a supplemental review after this winter's done its worst. What I do like: clean, totally quiet, no hum, competence. What I don't like: the incredibly bright blue lights on the front panel. It's in my bedroom and I've had to place filtering material over each light so it doesn't keep us up. Nice feature: two amber lights which aim downward so you can light up the controls of other equipment you might have. I like that those lights can be turned off completely. It could use a dimmer switch for the other lights.
