We have purchased a bunch of similar hard drive cages like this in the past. This is the first one that doesn't require a hard drive "cadddy" for each drive. It allows you to put a bare drive into the unit. Love it! I could easily see this as becoming a standard for 3.5" drives.My only negative issue with it is that I don't think it'll work for 2.5" drives w/ a 3.5" adapter, but don't quote me on that- I haven't tried it. Some of my other 3.5" cages don't work with 2.5" drives (with the 3.5" conversion kit).Each drive has a power light near the drive (some of the other cage units do not). Each drive as an activity light.
