This set worked very well for me. I would suggest offsetting the two cutter heads of the style cutter so that the top cutter is rotated 90 degrees from the bottom half of the cutter. This seems to help reduce what is already minimal vibration and seems to produce a cleaner smoother cut. I did the same with the rail and the raised panel bit. These bits work well in both my shaper (Grizzly G0510Z) and my router tables, though I prefer the shaper. Good bit set and would not hesitate to try others from this vendor.

This set has a great price. The one drawback I ran into was trying to center the raised panel in the middle of a 3/4 inch board. If you center it, the bit will not cut to the top edge of the board. The bit needs to be wider.Otherwise, these bits worked flawlessly.Note, other R&S bit sets I own will work with board widths to 1" or more.

By David Tigwell
This set is difficult to beat for the price. The bits are sharp and accomplished virtually perfect cuts in a full set of oak cabinet doors. There was very little chip-out, and the cuts were very clean, even on the end grain. There really is no comparison to 1/4" cutters, and I'd advise not even trying them. Just make sure you have a router that's powerful enough and has speed control, as well as a good, very rigid table and fence. I made a simple jig with toggle clamps for holding the rails and providing a zero-clearance side stop. The set includes a set of shims, extra nuts, and bearings. After shimming the cutters, the joints were as tight as I wanted them and fit perfectly. The only thing is there were absolutely no instructions included in the package. Before use, go to the MLCS web site: [...] and read them for proper set up.
