We ultimately concluded that you get great absorption because all sides of the MAX-Wall panels are exposed, thus doing double - duty. What you get: A MAX stand; a clamp; 2 "regular" foam panels; 1 foam panel with a section cut for window; and the plexiglass window.The window has sharp edges which can cut your foam and it won't last if that happens. I suggest putting rubber strips or something around the edges to avoid that.In the picture of the Max-Wall on Amazon, you do not see the pole through the glass. In trying to duplicate that, I found the piece wanted to topple so I went ahead and put the pole up through the top.There are pre-fabricated holes for the stand to slide through. That made setting it up fairly easy. The whole process of setting it up took about 10 minutes. The instructions do not include the window and nothing is included on the instructions about it except that it can hold a gooseneck microphone.The MAX stand expands from 4' to 8' in height. There is one problem with expanding its height. If you have 3 panels on the stand you will cover the tensioner that loosens and tightens for extending the height. I found this to a be a pain.Once you are all set up, the clamp is intended to hold the foam in place so it doesn't sink. I had a bit of trouble keeping it in place.As for the acoustics, Auralex knows what they are doing with their products. I've used their foams for years and have always been happy with them. If Auralex would put the rubber stripping on the plexiglass, and if the stand was better adjustable, I would give it 5 stars.
