Extraordinary Timepiece

I give Bulova a standing ovation! This is an extraordinary timepiece of fine quality. I'm pleased to say the clock far exceeded my expectations! The movement is a 5-Jewel, Keininger which operates precisely by a balance wheel. The triple chimes is the crown jewel of this clock! The craftmanship is superb to say the least...being able to see the movement and the chimes play is an added bonus. This clock tells a lot more than merely the time -- this is a showpiece of museum quality, in my opinion. I'm a lifetime collector of only the finest mechanical clocks, and now very proud to have a BULOVA of this quality among my collection! The clock was well packaged and delivered in the time promised.

NOT what was advertised.

The reviews for this clock were very good, so after paying $300 I expected to receive a high quality clock. What I got was a clock with plastic on it, in a press board case with veneers, glued on embellishments and the 'fan' design in the arch is a paper decal. I never even wound it up. I am in the process of returning it. Also, please note the seller does not provide full refunds for unsatisfactory items, they do not return shipping costs and charge a 15% buyers remorse fee.

No doubt a beautiful clock in every respect.Chimes and strikes nicely, with a very nice tone.Clock starts to lose time on day six, and loses even more time and then stops on day seven.Not sure if this is normal.Most other clocks of this type should run a full seven days without a problem.I will be contacing Bulova service dept to verify.
