The blanket is colorful, warm and large enough to completely cover our California King size bed. My wife, who usually shuns wool, loves it .

Not Worth the Cost

I paid the very high price for this blanket based on statements about how warm it is, warm enough for explorers in the wild. It is a fine wool blanket, but it is not even close to the warmth of a down comforter. I also had an alpaca blanket of similar size that was much warmer, which is what I expected from the description. It's about the same warmth as a heavy synthetic blanket I have that was less than 1/4 the cost, and which I can launder in my washing machine and drier.

This blanket is the warmest in winter coolest in summer we have ever owned. We now own two (one at each house) and it makes a spectacular wedding present !
