5Excellent stairs for our Corgis
By Karisu
The typical "pet steps" (not this product) which are sold for small and toy dogs present a problem for medium and larger sized dogs, as their stair platforms are often not large enough for bigger breeds to easily use. Corgis, which are a medium-sized breed, have the additional problem of shorter legs on long bodies. The sturdy 12" x 14" stair platforms on this product are easy to use for both our 6-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi (34 lbs) and our 5-month-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi (18 lbs). It is very helpful to have a stair product with stair platforms large enough for a medium-sized dog; dogs with chondrodystrophic dwarfism (like Corgis) have fragile growth plates, and really shouldn't be jumping off beds and risking injury to their front legs or their spines. This product is sturdy, attractive and well-made; it also folds flat easily for storage and has a handy carrying handle. It has a nicer appearance than plastic stairs, as well.

5Quality Pet Steps!
By AuntieM
If you're looking for quality, collapsiblity and versatility in pet steps then look no further! These steps are worth every penny. A few years ago we purchased the Pet Studio Dog Ramp Folds Flat Carpeted 3 Step Stairs from Amazon for our 12 year old cat; they couldn't have been more perfect for our bedroom. We returned to purchase the 2 steps for our living room couch again they were perfect. (Make sure you measure the height for your own needs.)This product is stylish enough to use in any room of your home. The carpet is a low looped nap and the carpet along the edge does unravel if your pet snags it with their claws. Ball bearings are used on both sides of each step and the legs are held open securely with metal brackets. The pictures shown on Amazon for the 2 step doesn't show that it also convert into a ramp. The wooden riser of the step folds back to allow the run of the step to fall to an angle. The steps are very sturdy. I know this because I used them to stand on while decorating the Christmas tree this year. My 2 year old niece loves to walk up them & jump off the back side. I feel very safe that they are not going to collapse on her. We are now using the steps for our 6 month old kitten who has just returned home after surgery.

4Solid Build, can be challenging for smaller dogs
By LM
We purchased the two step Pet Studio Dog Pet Carpeted Ramp to replace one of those "As Seen on TV" pet steps. The product is solidly built but may be intimidating for smaller dogs when used in the step configuration. The steps are deeper and taller than the TV pet steps (which has 3 steps that take up about the same amount of space) and our pomeranian was having difficulty adjusting. Our solution was to configure the steps as a ramp. When configured as a ramp, we found that the berber carpeting on the steps/ramp was slippery for our dog and made it difficult to climb. The solution for this was to cover the ramp with a towel (which is easily held in place by the weight of the ramp) and our dog now happily runs up and down. There's also a gap in the center of the ramp (between steps) which we were concerned about our dog tripping on which was also remedied by filling the gap with a towel. Even though the product required some workarounds, it is much more solid and stable than the TV steps and our dog appears to be happier running up and down the ramp.
