Amazon price is much too high

This Kidde Pro-340 dry fire extinguisher seems to be well made,but of course I won't know how well it performs unless I haveto use it. This model holds 5-lbs of dry chemicals & is rated3A:40BC which means it is good for use on all types of fires.Based on appearance & quality of manufacture, I would rate thisfire extinguisher at 5-stars, but only 1 star for Amazon's price.The problem here is that the price listed on Amazon is much toohigh - & even higher once its shipping charge is added on.I just purchased this exact same model at Lowes for $49.95(plus sales tax). This was NOT a Lowes sale special, but their normalprice, since I saw this same price listed for some time in the store.

Buy the Amazon $53 one instead?

Check out this one. It came with a decent wall bracket, but no mounting screws to hold it. I had some molly bolts laying around so I didn't mind. Other places on the internet this unit gets great reviews for the most part. I bought this unit at a big box store for about half a Benjamin. It is a 5LB unit and came fully charged. The big box store claims a charged weight of 8.5 lbs and my inaccurate bathroom scale read 8 pounds. It is rated 3-A and 40-B:C. It comes with a mounting bracket and a 'Fire Extinguisher' arrow sign as well as an inspection tag. Only one extinguisher for about half a Benjamin. It's rechargable so if you can get 4 uncharged units (as the other reviewer was lead to believe) maybe it is worth it but I am not even sure where I can recharge this if it becomes necessary. If you get one uncharged unit then the price seems high. It has a 6 year warranty. My homeowners insurance requires that I have a fire extinguisher and I am worried they would not pay if I am unlucky enough to have a fire and no extinguisher.
