Whether you've got rhythm or not, the rhythm is gonna get you when you're playing the Yamaha DD-20C Digital Drum Set. Lightweight and compact, this one-piece unit goes where you go. Just bring along your drumsticks (one pair is included) and start tapping away. The DD-20C is an intergrated drum computer. This means that there are a few controls to help you deliver sounds as if you were playing a full row of percussion instruments. It operates on either 6 AA batteries or a Yamaha PA3C AC adapter (both not included) for anywhere playing. There's a built-in speaker but, for late night playing, there's a jack for adding an optional earphone or headphone, so you won't disturb others. With the DD-20C you can get ready to strike up the band! Yamaha dd-20C Digital Drum Set

Purchased as a gift for my son who wanted a full drum set. Great alternative if you don't have room for a full drum set or are uncertain if your "budding" musician will have a continued interest in playing the drums.
