Very stable kayak

This is a good space saving kayak even though it's more like a canoe. Very strong,stable,and buoyant. It can carry over 800 lbs. Smells like a pool liner. I mentioned that this is a space saving kayak but NOT a time saving kayak so I recommend getting familiar with it first before going out on a run. A skeg does NOT come with it so get one (your going to need it). You will not win races with this Kayak. It sits on top of the water being more wind and wave resistant. 1 person is ok but 2 is a lot better.

Great Product

Although it's been too cold to get on the water we have set it up and checked it out. Out of the box, set up was less than ten minutes. First impression is that it's exremely well made and sturdy with the ability to carry tons of camping gear. The new model comes with a skeg that others have talked about so tracking on flat water should be okay and the paddles are good quality. This was purchased so my wife, 7 year old daughter, and I can get out with one boat. It's very roomy and comfortable. For this purpose the boat really fits the bill and it can be stored in a closet which makes it even more appealing. Sea Eagle makes a good product and is worth looking at if a craft of this type would fit your style.

Assembly and inflation very straight forward. Ready to go in 5-10 minutes. Suggest adding a skeg for better tracking when not river rafting. Very comfortable and sturdy.
