easy setup & suggested changes

to david b (earlier review) who complained about the controller hanging awkwardly off to the side. that is indeed the way the directions show to install it...they're wrong. the back bracket is being installed backwards at the factory (search for the T20F controller on guitar centers site and you'll see the correct way the bracket should be installed). so, simply unscrew the back bracket and flip it around, now the controller will hang over the center of the pole and not weigh down one side of it. you can also check out the setup of the system on youtube: [...].

Lights work

Our band has had these lights for about a month now and they have been working fine. They are exactly as advertised. The product did come with a broken light. It should be packaged a little more carefully in my opinion. The issue that we have had is the faulty XLR cord that is used for the light switch. The cord is quite flimsy and only worked for about an hour and then died on us.

It would be reasonable to believe that a light set would not be that hard to put together - and it isn't, not the lights anyway. However, when they need to be attached to a controller that cannot physically mount the rack in the way described by the technical picture provided.. there is a slight problem. Through some trial and error I was able to make it work, however it's not the most convenient set up. Due to the way that the holes are drilled on the mount for the controller/power box, the side with the controls faces downward toward the floor.It's OK. It works. The lights chase nicely. I would buy additional gels depending on what you are looking for it to do for you. I bought this as a cheap excursion into automated lighting to accompany my music.Good for the price.
