Great shoes

i like these shoes so much that I'm online now looking for a second pair for when my first wears out. I was surprised to see that another reviewer found the shoes too wide. I have fairly narrow feet (typically wear 9.5 or 9.5N), and my size 40s have been great for me. Immediately comfortable. I walked miles and miles and miles in them on a recent trip to Europe. Plus they make my feet look smaller!

ECCO shoes are quality shoes - and these are no exception. They are exceptionally light shoes and comfortable right out of the box. The leather is soft but holds the shoe shape well. I would agree that they are a bit - not TOO much-wider than standard shoes with their euro fit; this is a great relief for me and the many others searching for attractive shoes that are a bit wider. First time I wore them to work I was able to wear them all day long with no "rubbing" or "sore spots." And the two-toned style of the shoe is flattering. The strap is long enough to accommodate the highest arches and the insoles have good arch support. Additionally the insoles are easily removed to accommodate custom ones. Worth every penny, and then some. They are great!

Very light, but extremely wide...

I own quite a few Ecco shoes; the brand is known for its superiour comfort. This Cloud MaryJane is the only pair I was not able to keep.The sizing is EU (my US 11 calls for an EU 42). The upper and lining are leather. The thick sole is rubber.The shoe is as comfortable as you would want it to be; it is so light you can hardly feel in on your foot. However, despite the velcro strap and the above average width of my foot, the shoes are too wide; the toe box in particular... Back they went... Which is a shame, as I thought it would be a great alternative to a sneaker. Still, if you have a truly wide foot, this may be your style!
