4Great Safe Overall
By M. S. MAYFIELD
I really like this safe. It was very easy to install in the wall. In fact I just ordered another one. Both will be hidden behind wall art for another layer of protection. The safe is big enough for a handgun and ammo and some other small items. I have a Sig P239 .40SW with Tac Light in one with two mags and the other one will have a S&W .44 magnum and speed loaders. The included shelf is padded and installed easily enough although the included screws were a little large for the pre-drilled holes and took some force to get in all the way.The simplex lock will keep out small children and casual burglers. This is not a super strong safe however... I suspect a large screwdriver could break it open and in any case a sawzall or crow bar could easily rip it from the wall. Of course this safe is not designed for that. If you are out of town or otherwise you should have a real RSC or safe available to better secure your valuables from theft and fire.NOTE: the simplex lock can be defeated by a teenager (or whoever) if they have enough time to enter all the possible codes (around 2000). This is very unlikely for a small child but be aware that teenagers at home alone (or anyone else with enough time) can possibly get in without destroying the wall. I read online that some professional thieves can do this in around 10 mintues! (shipping companies use this lock for package security). One reviewer tried it himself and it took over two hours.

5Great in-wall home safe design
By Sarbhpreet Singh Sawhney
I installed this safe a few years back to store by 357 Ruger. The installation was easy if you have some basic sheetrock skills and the right tools. I chose this unit because it was one of the few that has a mechanical push button locking system. I did not want electronics (due to batterries) but I wanted a push button for quick opening not a rotary or other design.. The interior is small but you can store a few documents/small valuables or about 2-4 handguns.

5perfect value
By N. King
Plenty good sized for perhaps up to four medium frame pistols. With just one shelf, it divides the space nicely. Additional shelf(s) is available V-Line but not necessary for my use. I like that it meets CA approved storage device for weapons. The case does not feel cheap and is of high quality made in the USA. A push button combo lock with no batteries to replace. And when you need in it fast or you're half asleep, you won't accidentally get locked out.
