By P. Scott Pope
This is a great hair dryer for those who want to minimize volume. Unfortunately, it appears this model has been discontinued. Even though the large heating element burnt out in the less than one year, I would purchase another. It is by far the best hair dryer I have ever used for my somewhat unmanageable head of hair. The real beauty of this product is that dries the hair with infrared heat instead of massive amounts of air. Why the fan still blows in radiant mode, most of the drying occurs from the infrared energy penetrating the mass of hair. So, if you have hair that tends to get bushy with conventional hair dryers, this is an ideal product. I wish the manufacturer would come out with a successor.Pros*Unique design dries hair without volume*Nice stand*Dries hair rapidlyCons*Large heating element doesn't seem to last*Stand could be a bit heavier

By Beth Adcock
My hair isn't colour-treated, but it is curly, and a lifetime of experience with it has taught me that resistance is futile. Conventional hand-held dryers, even with diffusers, blow some of the curl out (always managing to do it in an unattractive way), and also separate the curls so that they become fuzzy and take on a life of their own. Remembering that some of my best hair days were when my hair had dried under an infrared lamp, I decided to look for a dryer with infrared heat. This dryer fit the bill, and also has a high negative-ion output that helps close the cuticle (which is more open in naturally curly hair, leaving the hair more susceptible to damage, and less lustrous). It does an excellent job on my hair, when used on the lower fan setting. It's also surprisingly lighter than I had expected it to be, and I haven't found it necessary to use the stand. My only complaint (though not unexpected) is that it's rather too large to be considered a travel dryer, so I suppose I'll have to continue to hope for an infrared lamp in hotel bathrooms.

By Erin
I cannot say enough good things about this dryer. I was using a Revlon, ionic dryer, but my naturally fine and pin-straight, heavily highlighted hair was a frizzy mess. I thought I needed moisturizing conditioners and shine serums (I had always used volumizing products before), but these either did nothing to calm the frizz or weighed my hair down and left a noticable film (which made it compeltely un-manageable). I decided to give this "made for color-treated hair" dryer a shot, and it was money well-spent, to say the least! There is not a sign of frizz in sight when i use this dryer, and my hair still has plenty of volume. I used this dryer once and immediately tossed my old one. This is my Holy Grail of hair dryers! (who ever knew there was that much of a difference?)
