By Jay
These lights were purchased to be placed in our back porch. These give plenty of light and work quite good. I have lot of confidence in RAB lights as had other LED RAB floodlights and area lights installed in other parts of my house, which survived all the snow and harsh weather in New England without any failures. These lights have good quality and seems to be made to last long. Overall no complaints been working fine

$70 for this lamp is a good deal. This lamp is more heavy-duty commercial quality then the lamps you would find in Home Depot or Lowe's. RAB has a great website with lots of information for this lamp. I own two of these lamps, one white, one brown. Both work very well. Mounting the lamp is not easy. The back plate is thick metal with one 1/2 threading mounting hole, but no holes for screws. You have to drill or punch out the mounting holes yourself. The cover is one piece plastic held on to the base by two captive (thank you!) phillips #2 screws. The lamp also comes with two T-15 screws for the cover, security screws would have been a better choice. There's a 1/2" threaded mounting hole under the lens for motion detector, conduit, etc. This lamp is somewhat more vandal resistant than a residential quality lamp, it would be hard to disable this lamp with your bare hands. You could probably take it out with one or two wacks from a baseball bat. The photocell works, but has no adjustment for sensitivity. If you require vandal-resistance, you would want to disable the photocell anyway and put the lamp on a timer.

The first two I received did not work. The lights go on while it is still reletivley light out. They are wall mounted on the east side of a building so I imagine they would work better if out on the open.
