Where's the travel case?

I've been using Braun shavers for about 15 years. I started using my dad's when I was in high school, bought my own eventually, and have probably owned four or five of them. A few years back, I decided to give Norelco a try and bought the wet/dry model that dispenses Nivea lotion... terrible mistake. I'm a pretty skinny guy with a large-ish adams apple. The big, flat Norelco-style shavers just can't shave my neck. Braun's bar-shaped shaver head is the only one that works for me. If you have a face like Fred Flintstone, I suppose Norelco might do.In any case, if you're familiar with the Braun family, this shouldn't disappoint. The actual shaver mechanism -- the cutterblock and curved foil that contact your skin -- hasn't changed much in the last five years or so. I think they've advanced the actual shaver design as far as it can go and it's just a matter of adding bells and whistles like LEDs and charge indicators and such. If you're in the market for a new shaver and you like the Braun system, you're probably not going to find a better shaver. However, there are some caveats.Complaint #1: Accessories. Every Braun I've had previously came with a protective plastic cap and a hard plastic travel case. As anyone who has used this type of razor before can tell you, if you ding up the foil, you're screwed. You have to blow $45 on a new cutterblock/foil combo at Target. The plastic cover is hugely important in protecting the razor and I can't believe they didn't include one. Now, had they decided to still include a nice hard case, it wouldn't have been the end of the world. But neither? That's inexcusable. I've only had it for three days but I'm worried that I'm going to trash it.Complaint #2: The cleaning unit. Braun's cleaning system, on one hand, is brilliant. It does an amazing job of what it's supposed to do (clean your razor) and definitely prolongs the life of the blades. I get a lot more mileage than I used to back in the days when I used to open it up and dump out the stubble every time. What I don't like about it is that you don't have the option to disable charging the battery. I can't claim to be an expert on batteries but the consensus seems to be that every Lithium Ion batteries need to be fully discharged every once in a while. Since you can't replace the battery (at least that I'm aware of), it would be nice to be able to run the battery down while cleaning it. Your only recourse it to not clean it, which is less than ideal. The packaging claims that it handles "your cleaning and charging needs", leading the customer to think that it's keeping your battery in tip-top shape. I don't buy it. My experience is that it fully charges the battery every time.If you live by yourself (with no pets) and never travel, the lack of a protective cover might not be a deal breaker. Other than that, it's a solid buy.

But I can tell you he loves his Braun Razor, this is the second one he's purchased after having the first one for several years the charge finally ran out. He feels they are very worth the price.

I think the razor is fantastic and was all or more than expected. The model sent was not the PC BN model but was a 570cc with plastic by the power button. Took too long to recieve it and was wrong model but still love it.
