Difficult to open

I bought this locket for my mother for Christmas. She loves it and it is very beautiful. I decided to put pictures in it before I gave it to her and this proved to be a difficult task. The locket is difficult to open without warping the clasp and even more difficult to insert pictures into. Maybe there is a trick to it that I wasn't aware of, but this the first and last locket I will purchase. I had to remove the clear plastic photo shield on the front cover with a needle before inserting the first photo. I scratched the clear shield so much that I just threw it out. Inserting the photos in the middle piece was a little easier, but I just gave up on the back photo and left it empty for her. The locket is definitely beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with very little patience.

The chain on this locket is great and is the perfect length. The lockets detail is beautiful and I love that it has room for so many pictures!

beautiful locket, difficult to get two photos in center slot

My husband gave this locket to me as a gift. I really love this, but am slightly annoyed that I was unable to fit two back to back photos printed on photo paper in the center slot. It is quite obviously made to hold back to back photos with two clear windows, but does not accommodate the thickness of two printed photos. Keep that in mind as you are considering this purchase. I tried using photos printed on a regular piece of paper for since I couldn't fit the photo paper, and it faded way too fast, so now I only keep three photos in it instead of four. I keep a secret photo in the back of the locket and if people ask to see it, I just open the front cover and leave the flip page down so it looks like a regular locket and nobody sees the back of the photo. I guess if you think about it that way, it's ok, because you have a little secret around your neck.
