Great product at Best Price

This rifle is a real find. You can purchace what looks like a rifle identical to this one at various retailers for up to fifty dollars more than it is listed for here. The rifle is a great REPLICA, I shoot blackpowder and I have seen beautiful rifles that were built in Pennsylvania over the last 200 years.This rifle is heavy but not too heavy. I am doing some educational historical reinacting for elementary school children and they love the rifle. So does the school, as it is a Educational Artifact.LASTLY THERE IS A TINY SET SCREW ON THE BAYONET THAT WILL TIGHTEN IT DOWNNICELY SO THE BAYONET WILL STAY ON THE RIFLE EVEN IF YOU DEMONSTRATE HOW IT WAS USED IN COMBAT.

1700s Brown Bess non-firing

An okay replica, but I was a little disappointed with a couple of features. The ramrod is a non-removable, plant-on piece, so there is no way to simulate loading (I bought it as a stage prop). The biggest disappointment was that the musket comes with a replica bayonet, but the barrel has no sight/catch on the end so that you can attach it. It wouldn't have been that hard for the manufacturer to include this detail. The good news was that the product was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition (despite the aforementioned problems).
