This new, lightweight Hydrostatic Arms feature a revolutionary locking system that produces a firm lock with very minimal effort. The system incorporates a technically advanced ball locking mechanism using hydrostatic action that is based on principles of modern hydraulics. With just a slight turn of the wrist, the arm securely locks in the desired position to firmly hold any camera, monitor, or accessory. This is the first arm that features 5/8-Inch and 1/4-Inch pins to support larger and heavier items. One of the two pins is hex shaped to marry perfectly with our Superclamp. Manfrotto Production Fixture

I have now purchased a second one of these Manfrotto arms. I know they are meant for mounting cameras for the photography field, but they also work very well as work holding arms for our assembly production. Operators simply loosend the knob and they can position the product/fixture into any position and simply lock it into place by tightening the knob. This has greatly simplified our assembly process and has eliminated the need for multiple fixtures. This one arm can take the place of up to ten fixtures in some of our assembly workstations! Thanks for making such an innovative product!
