Disappointed...not very firm

After reading reviews and doing research we decided this mattress seemed like a good choice. We first noticed how heavy this mattress was but that certainly was not a deal breaker. After 6 1/2 months of our son sleeping on this mattress we are shopping for a new one. The middle has sunk down and my son isn't even standing yet. I can't imagine how this mattress would hold up to a toddler standing on it. It definitely isn't "Super Firm".

Disappointed.

We needed to buy a second crib mattress for our baby who will be 18 months apart from her older sibling. We loved our first same-brand crib mattress but unfortunately found that it was no longer available. The previous firm mattress was purchased for $79.99 in the spring of 2009. Then we purchased this "super firm" mattress" in the fall of 2010. I was incredibly disappointed by how less firm this more expensive, "super firm" mattress was than the original less expensive, same brand mattress was. We actually switched out mattresses and gave this one to our toddler (18 month old) and the OLDER, more FIRM mattress to our newborn.Would I purchase this mattress again? I'm not sure. In fact, I highly suggest you physically go to a store to check the firmness. Unfortunately, we live outside of the U.S. so this wasn't an option for us.Best of luck.

No huge complaints about this, except that it is not what I would call super firm. The mattress sinks more than i would expect under the weight of a 12 pound baby. If you're on the fence and want a very solid, firm mattress; you may want to splurge on another choice!
