In a word, Spectacular

If you are a fan of Waterford, this angel is a must. The retail price is $175 currently on the official Waterford site, as this piece is current stock there. Amazon is offering it at a discount of $35 with free shipping, which you may not get from Waterford. Another avenue would be Ebay, but there you would have to pay shipping, possible tax, and you don't have all of the quality and safety guarantees that you have in purchasing from Amazon.This piece creates a big impression when combined with the nativity pieces (i.e., Mary, Joseph, and Christ child). Otherwise, it is magnificent alone because of the great number of crystal cuts, height (a little over 8 and a half inches), and design. I have 11 of the 13 angels that Waterford has made, and this is one of the most detailed and elaborate. If you know someone who collects angels, this would be a terrific gift.

My father lived in foster care for 4 years with advancing dementia. The Romanian caregiver was a godsend. She cooked all fresh foods , believed in fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and cleanliness ! She held my father's hand when he died . She was the only one with him as he died suddenly and we could not get there fast enough. I called her an Angel many times. How can you ever thank someone for caring for someone you loved like that ?? I was looking for a symbol of what I felt about her and her care of my father and of the work she does. When I saw the Waterford angels , I felt that i had found the most beautiful symbol of my respect and sincere thankfulness that I had for this angelic kind woman. Of the 4 Angels, I selected the Angel of Light as being the most spiritually inspirational . When I gave it to her , she was very touched and said she would keep it in her bedroom. It turns out that she loved Waterford crystal. I had not known that . A crystal Angel in the sunlight is perhaps the closest we can envision the real thing !

This angel is exquisite. Reflects lots of light with its many edges. A tall piece that's reasonably priced for its size. We love it...absolutely suitable for gift giving as well.
