Great Boots

I've owned these boots for 3 years now, and they are holding up great. Doc has always made a solid pair of boots, and these are no exception. The tread on the bottom has almost no wear on them, (I wear these things every day). The leather is very strong. I've polished these babies 3-4 times since I got them, and the leather looks next to new. I would strongly recommend these to anyone looking for a strudy boot, or an everyday shoe.

I've been a dedicated Doc buyer since I was 15 years old (about 16 years now). I've been wearing the same pair for 13 years and needed to replace them. I opted for these because they are the pair I initially wanted when I got the others. They are exactly what I was looking for; comfortable, my kind of style and the price was less than I was willing to spend. I'm very very happy that they have kept the classic styles around.Side note: I received them the day it started snowing this winter and would like to say they are perfect for wading through a few feet of snow.

As a point of disclosure I did not purchase my boots through Amazon nor through this vendor.That said I am very excited about these boots! I received my pair a couple of weeks ago and was immediately hooked. I was replacing a 10+ year old pair of Docs and opted for these.First impressions: These boots are VERY good looking, clean lines (no stitched toe cap over the steel toe), the pebbled leather is great looking, the liner is very well appointed (especially given their other Chinese-made product that sort of lacks detail), the eyelets are metallic and not plastic (look better metallic in my opinion) and these have a single sole and not a sandwiched style.First wear: Aaahhh... pure comfort like the 'old days' of DM. Sadly the MADE IN ENGLAND verbiage is no longer on the sole but I will say that these were as bouncy and comfortable as my old school Docs. Once laced-up I strutted around on the carper for a few minutes to ensure a good fit/feel in case I needed to return them. No WAY these were going back! They are extremely comfy, fit great and have the feeling that they will break in nicely.Subsequent wearings: I have worn these a few times already (such as on 'casual Friday' at the office) and they are quickly becoming my new favorites (which is no small feat as I have 20+ pairs of Docs).These are very clean looking, very good looking and feel great. Maybe DM has turned the corner with their Chinese productions???I actually bought these boots close to a year ago and they have become my favorite lace-up pair of Docs right now. Given how finicky I am - that's saying something!
