Nice bag, larger than it looks

I bought this pack for one purpose. To commute with to San Francisco from the 'burbs. It does exactly what I want it to. One is to be comfortable. I was worried that without a hip strap that it would be uncomfortable. The addition of the chest compression strap has made this a non existent concern. The straps stay positioned on my shoulders. It also lays close in to my spine. This keeps my laptop close and also makes up for the lack of pack compression straps.The padding for my laptop is superb, especially at the bottom of the back where I was most concerned. It could easily handle a 17" laptop. Maybe even two in the padded compartment. There are many extra compartments which I haven't a clue what they could all be used for except by maybe a college student who will live, study and sleep over using this pack.I have used it to bulk carry into work my office stereo and coffee equipment. It can be stuffed and still remain comfortable.

Could use better zippers

I shopped around for a long time to find a good backpack for my 17" laptop before finally settling on the Codi Sport-pak. As I was transferring all of my accessories to my new backpack, I noticed the zippers were splitting apart. Fortunately, I was able to move the slider to base of the zipper to get it reseated again. I have not travelled with it yet, but I hope the zippers don't split apart in transit. I would recommend to Codi to use a better quality of zipper to match the rest of what appears to be a good product.

Spacious, can hold a laptop and a tablet. Many compartments for sunglasses, power cords, keys, files, water bottles, etc.Best value and highest quality at a fraction of Tumi cost.
